Reggae/Dancehall artist Phenomenal Fantom. Also Known as ‘Captain of di GalacShip’, Birth Name: Patrick Malekani Born on the 26th of January 1995, is a Zambian based recording artist who has continued to introduce his presence in the Music industry, with an admirable persistence. The 24-year-old singer may have started music at a tender age of nine, but it was not until 2014 when he was involved in a collaboration for the song ‘Lelo’ which he says just warmed up his musical journey. But that was how he started out. He did it with Stigen, now Costa Gospel, Psychotic and Poppa. The song was produced by Kitwe-based award-winning producer Tonny Breezy of Fresh Boy Music and gained Fantom an opportunity to feature on Dog gee di monster’s ‘imaginary girl’ alongside Nash Q About that same year, Fantom demonstrated refined music skills and released his first official single ‘No other’. The song was again produced by Tonny Breezy. Fantom dropped his single titled ‘queen of Di Dancehall’ in 2015. Tonny Breezy produced it too. The year 2016 was another progressive year for Fantom as he managed to release his ‘Vue Smallz’, produced third official single ‘Ndine Wako’ which made his fan-base grow even bigger. In 2017, Fantom formed his own record label, Galactic Musiq Group (GMG) which debuted his fourth official single “Daily Nisebenza” (Produced by Mr. Rocky and Shinko beats) on which he collaborated with Clot music signee Danny tsg humayne. In 2018 Fantom dropped his fourth official single titled ‘More than friends’ on which he collaborated with another member of the Galactic Musiq Group by the name of Lee-Rare. On the 15th of May 2019 he dropped ‘Watch your back’ which was also produced by Mr. Rocky. The artist has opened for many house hold names like the late P-Jay, Marky 2, Slap Dee, Willz “Mr. Nyopole”,Bobby East,Judy to mention just a few.He has had an honor to perform during the 2017 and 2018 Sotambe Documentary Film and arts festival in Kitwe. While doing music, he has been busy with academics as well and acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Procurement from the Copper belt University(CBU).He also possesses a certificate from the World Intellectual Property organization (WIPO) of Geneva, Switzerland.
